Evelyn AND Angels Candy Store

RETAIL LOCATION: CAMBRIDGE, MASSACHUSETTS 

Evelyn & Angel’s was a passion project rooted in personal history and lifelong aspiration. After a career as an attorney, the owner set out to open an upscale candy store inspired by family tradition. The name honors her mother, Angel, and grandmother, Evelyn.

The design reimagines the classic candy shop through a refined lens, drawing inspiration from traditional French patisseries and chocolate boutiques. Elegant cherry wood display cases, brass chandeliers and sconces establish a sophisticated foundation, layered with subtle vintage touches such as antique candy posters and chalkboard menus. Tall, tailored millwork finished in a soft candy-colored green adds lightness while keeping the space welcoming.

Mandarina led the interior design and project execution from concept through completion, including construction and installation. Custom millwork, cabinetry, moldings, and bespoke candy chutes were fabricated in collaboration with a skilled furniture craftsman.

The finished space is polished yet approachable, offering an elevated retail experience that balances indulgence with restraint.
