Mandarina Studio is a Boston-based interior design practice focused on refined residential interiors shaped by proportion, materiality, and continuity.
The studio works on full-home renovations and large-scale furnishing projects across both historic and contemporary residences. Each project is developed as a cohesive whole, with design decisions carried through every layer of the home.

Amanda Reid is the Founder and Principal of Mandarina Studio. Her design sensibility has been shaped through years of professional practice and a sustained engagement with art, interiors, and the decorative arts.
Educated at the Fashion Institute of Technology in Manhattan, and informed by early exposure to interior architecture, she brings a technically grounded and intuitive approach to her work. Time spent living in London and Florence continues to inform her perspective, alongside a longstanding interest in art, travel, and fashion.
Amanda approaches each project with a clear and disciplined point of view, developing interiors that feel cohesive, intentional, and enduring. Her work is defined by a careful balance of refinement and livability, with an emphasis on proportion, materiality, and continuity across spaces.
She has built a loyal client base, with many returning to the studio over time. Her work has been featured in publications including New England Home, Modern Luxury Interiors, Boston Home Magazine, and Traditional Home, and she was named a Dynamic Woman by Boston Common Magazine.
DESIGN PROCESS
Mandarina Studio’s design process is structured, thorough, and tailored to the specific scope of each project. Work begins with a focused discussion to establish priorities, understand how the home will be used, and evaluate the architectural context.
From there, the studio develops a cohesive interior direction addressing spatial planning, architectural detailing, and material selections, alongside a considered integration of furnishings, lighting, textiles, and art.
Each project is led by the principal and developed in collaboration with a trusted network of architects, builders, and artisans. Mandarina Studio remains closely involved through construction and installation, guiding decisions and maintaining continuity from concept through completion.
