CRAFTSMAN RESIDENCE

LOCATION: WELLESLEY, MASSACHUSETTS

This Craftsman home was renovated to feel both rooted and refreshed, with a clear focus on comfort, craftsmanship, and how the spaces are used every day. A cohesive material and color story brought warmth and clarity throughout the house. The result is a home that feels substantial and inviting, with rooms that flow naturally from one to the next.

At the center of the home, a double-height great room opens into a series of connected rooms that feel distinct yet related. A restored inglenook gives the space a sense of history, while a softened palette and layered furnishings make the scale feel approachable. The dining room, finished with hand-printed wallpaper and brass accents, conveys elegance without feeling overly formal.  Completing the space, the color-drenched music and game room creates a rich, immersive atmosphere.

The kitchen and breakfast room were reimagined as true gathering spaces. Custom cabinetry and handcrafted tile are paired with a bar in deep green cabinetry and reeded glass, designed to be both beautiful and highly functional for daily use. The breakfast room looks out over a gently flowing brook, bringing light, views, and a sense of calm into everyday routines.

Upstairs, the private spaces continue this thoughtful balance. The primary suite is quiet and restorative, with a bath finished in timeless stone and carefully detailed tile. Additional baths are tailored to feel personal and engaging, while remaining connected to the overall design of the home.
